The 2500TX cards were manufactured with two chip sets, an RTL8129 and an RTL8139. The ATI drivers for the 8129 are not compatible with Microsoft Windows 2ooo. Pull the card and look at the large chip on the face of the NIC. If you have an RTL-8129 it is recommended you use the RealTek Drivers.
